I, too, have just eaten roughly "one and a half chocolate digestives"—dark variety—to stave off hunger and chill. My afternoon stroll proceeded at a pace of "about 1.7 to 2.2 mph." Though edging toward seniority, I remain clear-sighted and odor-free. Rundell draws inspiration from this aquatic elder. Indeed, there's a certain majesty in spending centuries in the deep, utterly indifferent to humanity.
